What critics say about him…
For his MUSIC, LYRICS and MUSICAL DIRECTION in CCP’s ZSAZSA ZATURNNAH – Ze Muzikal

“DeJesus’ music honorably channels out… it luxuriates in a sweetly flavored variant, short on anxiety and long on native cheer. Whether in syncopated numbers with gallop-ing bass lines or slow tunes with only a majestic piano as accompaniment… ZSAZSA ZATURNNAH ZE MUZIKAL’s smartly concocted music proves to be, well, TAGUMPAY!”

Gibbs Cadiz, April 2006
Lifestyle, Philippine Daily Inquirer

“The real stars of the show, though, are the direction and production. The songs by Vincent De Jesus are moving and affecting… tinged with sweetness and vindication.”

Rina Jimenez-David, May 2006
Larger Than Life, Philippine Daily Inquirer

“Much credit goes to Vincent de Jesus for his unforgettable songs… the musicale is extremely funny and entertaining… its charm lies in its wonderful music and in the ingenious ways it transcends the limitations of the stage.”

Rome Jorge, May 2006

For his Musical Score in Unitel Pictures’ CRYING LADIES and SANTA SANTITA

“In Crying Ladies…the multi-dimensional Vincent DeJesus… knows how to mix past and present in terms of technique and style, and has shown much passion and sincerity for (his) craft.”

Noel Zarate, July 2004
The 22nd Annual Film Academy of the Philippines Awards Magazine

“Gifted and courageous… musical scoring by Vincent De Jesus provide a starkly realistic backdrop against which the story can unfold. SANTA SANTITA entertains, illuminates and inspires.”

Ruben Cruz, November 28,2004 – Philippine Daily Inquirer

For his CHORAL MUSIC and ORIGINAL SCORE in DRA-KULA

“The original music of Vincent DeJesus can easily match the best horror sound-track. From the deceptive lilt that leaves a gentle disquiet in the London scenes to the bombastic sturm-und-drang choral music that announces Drakula’s every entrance, the score sweeps the audience.”

Cora Llamas, Sept.15,2002
Philippine Daily Inquirer

For his MUSICAL SCORE in the digital film ANGELS

“Vincent de Jesus’ musical score brings cultural analysis to the film. His choice of accompaniment pieces is neither too distracting nor too self-indulgent. By be-ing subtle and subliminal, de Jesus truly enhanced the flow of the narrative.”

Jose Wendell P. Capili,May12, 2003
Philippine Daily Inquirer
