Any person who has written or co-written at least one feature-length screenplay and those who subscribe to the aims and objectives of the Guild shall be eligible for membership.

Three classes of membership:Regular, Associate and Apprentice.

Regular Membership – Shall be opened to any person who has received credit of any screenplay which has been commercially exhibited or has written a full-length screenplay that has not been produced but copyrighted to prove ownership.

Associate Membership – Shall be opened to any person who has received credit for any script in a short film or a written material included in a full-length screenplay which has been commercially exhibited or has written a short full-length screenplay that not been produced. An associate member can move to regular membership after showing his/her talent in writing.

Apprentice Membership – Shall be opened to students/young people interested to learn the art of scriptwriting. He/she be under full guidance of the Board Members and Officers of the Guild or any Regular Member/s willing to train such apprentice.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

Regular Members – Shall enjoy the following rights:
(a) To participate in the deliberations of the General Assembly.
(b) To vote and be voted into office unless otherwise provided by these laws.
(c) To be provided with economic, legal, and other forms of assistance when deemed necessary.
(d) To be given protection in matters involving rights of authorship.
(e) To be assisted by the Guild in the execution of contracts and the collection of service fees.
(f) To be given such other privileges as the Board of Directors may fix from time to time.
(g) To be a priority in case of training/attendance to any SGP’s sponsored seminar and workshop.

Associate Members – Shall have the same rights as the regular member except the right to vote and be voted into office. However, they shall have right to elect among themselves two (2) non-voting members of the board.

Apprentice Members – Can become associate members after proving his/her capability in writing a script.

Regular and Associate members shall have the following obligations:
(a) To promote the principles and uphold the aims and objectives of the Guild.
(b) To attend the regular and special meetings of the Guild.
(c) To participate in such collective actions as the General Assembly and/or the Board of Directors may deem necessary for carrying out the aims and objectives of the Guild.
(d) To pay membership fees, annual dues, and such other special assessments as may be deemed necessary for carrying out the aims and objectives of the Guild.

2) Send the filled up application form together with the following documents: Curriculum Vitae and photocopy of 2 government issued ID (for verification purposes only) to Screenwriters_Guild_Philippines@yahoo.com
3) Wait for the approval of your application (3-5 days to verify data and to determine your category as member.
3) If you receive an approval note through email, bring the following documents: Hard-copy of your Curriculum Vitae, photocopy of 2 government issued ID, filled up online application form and pay the membership fee of Php 100.00 at SGP Office located at 4th Floor MOWELFUND BLDG, #66 Rosario Drive Cubao Quezon City. Monday-Friday 11:00 A.M – 4 P.M only and look for Julie.

WALK IN APPLICATION
Please bring Curriculum Vitae with 2×2 picture, Photo copy of 2 Government issued ID (SSS,Postal ID Voter’s ID) for verification purposes and do the following:
1) Fill up application form at SGP Office located at 4th Floor MOWELFUND BLDG, #66 Rosario Drive Cubao Quezon City. Monday-Friday 11:00 A.M – 4 P.M only and look for Julie.
2) Wait for the approval of your application (3-5 days to verify data and to determine your category as member.
3) If you receive an approval note thru email , you can pay the membership fee of Php 100.00 at SGP Office (Monday-Friday 11:00 A.M – 6 P.M only) and look for Julie.
