Here under are the texts of the three other special awards given by the Film Academy of the Philippines during its 34th Luna Awards night at the Quezon City Sports Club, Inc:

THE FILM ACADEMY OF THE PHILIPPINES
through its board of governors

In recognition of his career in local films that spanned the years
as he worked as assistant director, production designer, writer,
director, producer and actor, specially his involvement in the Lo’ Waist
Gang series that also starred Fernando Poe Jr. and President Joseph
Estrada during the years 1956 to 1960 with a series of box-office hits like
the original Lo’ Waist Gang, Bakasyon Grande, Lutong Makaw,
Ang Lo’ Waist Gang at si Og sa Mindoro and an episode in Gabi ng Lagim;
for encouraging three of his children to follow his footsteps as actor
and politician, namely, third-term Mayor Herbert ‘Bistek’ Bautista,
now Quezon City Councilor Hero Bautista and Harlene Bautista
now also involved in film production;

hereby bestows this

In recognition of her role as the lady producer who with her husband
Dr. Jose Vera-Perez made Sampaguita Pictures not only a member of
the Big Four producers of the 1950s and 1960s (with LVN Pictures, Premiere Productions and Libran Films) but a film company that discovered and developed box-office and award-winning stars like Carmen Rosales,
Rogelio dela Rosa, Tita Duran, Pancho Magalona, Gloria Romero, Ric Rodirgo,
Luis Gonzales, Susan Roces, Amalia Fuentes and Romeo Vasquez ;
and for running Sampaguita Pictures which she later headed like a family
with a code of conduct and rules on etiquette for its contract stars;

hereby bestows this

In recognition of her breakthrough achievement in winning the best
actress award for her role in Ma’ Rosa, a film directed by Brilliante Mendoza,
during the 69th Cannes Film Festival held last May, 2016,
thereby becoming the first Filipina actress to achieve this distinction
as she bested the performances of international stars Charlize
Theron and Marion Cotillard, who were also nominated;
for this single achievement, she installed herself in the pantheon of
best actress awardees of the Cannes Filmfest which includes
Meryl Streep (American), Virna Lisi (Italian), Helen Mirren (British),
Isabelle Huppert (French) and Julianne Moore (American);
