In the continuing process of Sine Panitik: Alamat sa Animasyon project of Film Academy of the Philippines, participants once again gathered for their second seminar-workshop.
The said workshop, held last April 23, at Mowelfund Plaza’s Bulwagang Jose Nepomuceno, was led by its speaker, Mr. Linton Gonzaga, a De La Salle – St. Benilde Animation professor.
Mr. Gonzaga shared his expertise of storyboarding and shot composition to the 37 participants in the seminar. He also showed some of the samples of works in storyboarding and random animation made by his students.
After the seminar, fourteen groups who submitted their required teaser of the animation they made, showed it during the workshop and everyone praised each other’s workpiece.
Project director Icon de Jesus, who was also present during the event, critiqued the works of the students and gave them some tips to make it even better. Meanwhile, FAP Director-General Leo G. Martinez shared possible collaboration of the students to the upcoming projects after this animation contest.
After holding two workshops this year, the project moves further as the students will now be required to submit the full-length animatic, moving storyboards of their projects, within the next three months.
The animation films are expected to be finished for possible viewing during the last quarter of this year.
