The new Sine Panitik: Alamat sa Animasyon project of Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) conducted its first seminar-workshop last Saturday, January 23, at the Mowelfund Plaza’s Tama Ng Theater.
The seminar-workshop was attended by almost 40 student-participants from different schools in the country.
During the seminar, speaker Mr. Romuald Titus “Tito” Romero contributed his knowledge to the participants about Character Design for Animation. After the talk, a one-on-one group consultation happened between the students and speaker himself.
Also present during the workshop was FAP’s Director-General Leo Martinez who gave
a short talk to the students regarding the purpose of the contest. Several things were also discussed such as deadlines and other plans during the open forum.
During the forum, Director Martinez and Mr. Romero also shared their plans of letting the Alamat sa Animasyon participants join future animation affairs in the country including Filtoon Comic Conference this March and ASEAN Animation Summit later this year.
The Alamat sa Animasyon contest began last April 2015 and expected to had its final submission within the last quarter of this year.
