Tres, the first Sine Panitik film trilogy produced by the Film Academy of the Philippines featuring adaptations of classic Filipino short stories, opened the new year 2016 with a full week of campus exhibitions in the five OB Montesorri in Metro manila and Pampanga.
The screenings were held from Monday, January 11 to Friday, January 15.
The campus screenings were as follows:
January 11 (Monday)—OB Montesorri at Greenhills, San Juan City;
January 12 (Tuesday)—OB Montesorri at Fairview near SM Fairview, Quezon City;
January 13 (Wednesday)—OB Montesorri at BF Homes, Las Piñas City;
January 14 (Thursday)—OB Montesorri at Sta. Ana, Manila;
January 15 (Friday)—OB Montesorri at Angeles City, Pampanga.
Two other screenings are scheduled on January 22 (Friday) at Letran in Intramuros and on January 29 (Friday) at Rizal College in Taal, Batangas.
Tres includes the film adaptations of Faith, Love, Time and Dr. Lazaro by Gregorio Brilliantes (directed by Jose N. Carreon), Tata Selo by Rogelio Sikat (directed by William Mayo) and Sandaang Damit by Fanny Garcia (directed by Edgardo ‘Boy’ Vinarao).
The film was submitted to the Cinema Evaluation Board where it received a B rating which entitles it to a 65 percent rebate of the amusement taxes generated during its commercial run in theaters all over the country.
Tres was produced with the support and cooperation of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), Quezon City Film Development Commission (QCFDC), and the Department of Education (DepEd).
Then Gov. E.R. Ejercito of Laguna and Mayor Tito S. Sarion of Daet, Camarines Norte also assisted the Academy by providing the sites and locations for the shooting of the film project. Others who supported the FAP were PAGCOR, Fernando Ortigas, Joseph Calata, Ignacio B. Gimenez, Gerry Apolinario, Gerry’s Grill, Sogo Hotel and Eurotel.
