The Film Academy of the Philippines will inaugurate its Cinematheque Manila Theater and Museo ng Pelikulang Pilipino on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 on T.M. Kalaw St., Ermita, Manila.

The opening ceremony, which will be headed by FDCP Chairperson Briccio G. Santos, will start at 2 p.m. with the unveiling of the statue of National Artist for Film Gerardo de Leon with the ribbon cutting ceremony at the theater entrance.

The inauguration of the Cinematheque Manila Theater and the Museo ng Pelikulang Pilipino will follow at 2:15 p.m. at the main foyer of the new building.

At 2:30 p.m. will be the handprint ceremony also at the main foyer.

The DVD launch of the restored classic Genghis Khan of Manuel Conde will be held at the Cinematheque Manila Theater.

The evening screenings include the documentary “Salamat sa Alaala” on the life and works of Gerry de Leon which will start at 5 p.m.
At 7 p.m., the restored version of Genghis Khan will be screened.
