Film Academy of the Philippines citers will choose from the 50 films shown last year the best ten for each of the 12 categories of the forthcoming Luna Awards which Director General Leo G. Martinez vowed to hold earlier this year—the 26th year of the awards.
Of the 50 films exhibited in theaters and cinemahouses, a total of 23 were rated B and eight were rated A by the Cinema Evaluation Board of the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
Seven 35 mm films were rated A and 21 were rated B while one digital film was rated A and two films rated B.
The citers—the first tier of Academy members who will pass judgment on the performances and creative and technical achievements for 2007—will be reviewing the films before they come up with their list of 10 best which will be submitted to the nominators. The nominators will trim this further to the final five nominees.
The rated B films (listed chronologically as per in the date of exhibition) were:
