Winners in the students and teachers category of the 2014 Metropolitan Manila Film Festival essay contest on the most gender sensitive film were announced during the flag ceremony at the Quezon City Hall last Monday, March 30.

The list of winners is as follows:

Students category

1st prize—Bayan ni Juan…at Eba (on the film Bonifacio)

The essay contest was sponsored by the Gender and Development Resource and Coordinating Office (GADRCO) of the Quezon City government headed by Mary Ruby M. Palma.

The board of jurors included Jose N. Carreon, Romina Almazan, Carla Margaret L. Alnas, Mary Emerald P. Ohara, Corazon Sd. Quizon, Divine Grace C. Ejes and Adelina A. Sebastian, with Anna Fajardo of GADRCO as coordinator.
