EIGHT ENTRIES SELECTED FOR 2014 METRO MANILA FILMFEST by fapweb  |  Posted in Articles  |  on Fri, Jun 27, 2014

Eight of the 13 screenplays submitted were selected as official entries to the forthcoming 2014 Metropolitan Manila Film Festival in December which is also the 40th year of the annual event.

The eight entries selected by the board of readers are as follows:
Big Bossing’s Adventures, directed by Joyce Bernal, Marlon Rivera and Tony Reyes, starring Ryzza Mae Dizon and Vic Sotto, produced by OctoArts Films, M-Zet and APT Entertainment;

Bonifacio: Gusto Mo Ba Siya Makilala?, directed by Enzo Williams, starring Robin Padilla and Izza Calzado, produced by Philippians Productions;

English Only, Please, directed by Dan Villegas, starring Angeline Quinto and Sam Milby, produced by Quantum Films and Heaven’s Best Entertainment;

Feng Shui 2, directed by Chito Rono, starring Kris Aquino, Coco Martin, Kim Chiu and Paolo Avelino, produced by ABS-CBN Productions;

Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles II, directed by Erik Matti, starring Dingdong Dantes, Isabelle Daza and Lovi Poe, produced by Reality Entertainment, GMA Films and Agostodos Pictures;

Magnum Muslim .357, directed by Jun Posadas, starring ER Ejercito and Angel Locsin, produced by Scenema Concept;

Praybeyt Benjamin 2, directed by Wenn Deramas, starring Vice Ganda, Richard Yap, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, James Bimby Yap Jr. and Alex Gonzaga, produced by ABS-CBN Productions and Viva Films; and

Shake, Rattle and Roll 15, directed by Jerrold Tarrog and Yam Laranas, starring Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Matteo Guidecelli and JC de Vera, produced by Regal Entertainment.

Two entries were also selected to replace possible backouts by the eight chosen film projects. These are Kid Kulafu, directed by Paul Soriano, starring Cesar Montano and Alessandra de Rossi, produced by Ten 17 Productions; and Kung ang Hanap Mo ay Ligaya sa Buhay, directed by Elwood Perez, starring Boots Anson-Rodrigo and Ronnie Liang, produced by T-Rex Entertainment.
