SGP TO HOLD FILM CRITICISM WORKSHOP by fapweb  |  Posted in Articles  |  on Fri, Dec 6, 2013

The Scriptwriters Guild of the Philippines will hold its year-end activity by having a workshop on Film Criticism. SGP’s president, Dr. Isabel D. Sebullen finds it necessary for SGP members to know the structured way of discerning a good film from bad ones. The workshop for SGP’s members is timely since the Film Academy of the Philippines has started the Citers’ Film viewing for next year’s Luna Award. The lessons they will learn can be applied in choosing the film worthy to win in FAP’s Luna Award.

The workshop will be held in the Lecture Room B, 3rd floor Executive Building, Quezon City Hall (Courtesy of Mr. Rolando P. Montiel, head of the City General Services Dept.) on December 14 and 15, 2013. Professor John Iremil E. Teodoro, a Ph.D. Candidate at De La Salle University, who also teaches at Mirriam College, will be the workshop lecturer/facilitator. Professor Teodoro is also a movie critic and a four-time Palanca Awardee.

The workshop will be free of charge and participants will be provided snacks and lunch.

A maximum number of 15 participants will be admitted on a first-come-first-admitted basis.
