WELCOME TO THE APP SHOW by Corie Henson  |  Posted in Articles  |  on Fri, Jan 18, 2013

For P2,500 you can have a cell phone with internet access thru the so-called wifi (wireless fidelity). That’s affordable to the lower middle class and perhaps even to lower classes of our society.

Kung gusto mo naman ng mas malaking mobile gadget then you can settle for a PC tablet or iPad. For as low as P3,000 you can have a generic PC tablet that can be used as a cell phone, with camera, and with the function of running apps.

With that price and the capability – you can afford to watch movies and television shows – you can imagine the number of people accessing that medium. As techies would say, “welcome to the future.”

The Samsung cel phone worth 27,000 pesos

And unlike before when users have difficulty using the personal computer, it is relatively easy to operate a mobile gadget.

Related to the original channels being financed by Youtube.com, majority ng mga entertaining videos ay may mobile version na.

Due to the popularity of mobile gadgets, App makers are now in stiff competition with countless of apps being created and uploaded every day. App-making has become an industry in itself.

As an application, an app can be anything that is useful or interesting to the mobile gadget user. From sports to news and multi-media access, an app can be a companion especially for people who are biding their time.

Instagram is one app that is getting popular with Facebook users. Instagram affords the user to take a picture and directly upload it to the Facebook account. Kung gusto mo ng Instagram, all you have to do is download it from the internet.

The most popular type of apps is the games. Understandbly, the games combat boredom especially for people in the line or are in wait.

The Talking Friends characters of Outfit7

A website called Outfit7 is a hit with their Talking Friends. Using their apps gives you animated characters that seem to talk by simply repeating what you say.

With the exception of Tomb Raider and Resident Evil, most of the video-game movies ay flop sa box office.

Where’s My Water – full version costs 40 pesos).

Sa ngayon ay parang nagkatotoo na ang sinabi ni Albert Einstein: I fear the day when the technology overlaps with our humanity. The world will only have a generation of idiots.
