Nominators for this year’s Luna Awards buckled down to work after the citers had come up with their short list of possible nominees in this year’s award derby. The work of the nominators is the second of three stages in an award-giving system where peers will be the ones passing judgment on their film industry peers.
The Luna Awards will be given in 11 categories with the 12th category being for the year’s best picture.
From March 22 to 24, the nominators previewed the first six films in contention for various categories. These were:
March 22—Mulawin the Movie (Rated A by the CEB) with seven citations.
Nasaan Ka Man (Rated B) with 12 citations.
March 23—Ako Legal Wife (Rated B) with 10 citations.
Blue Moon (Rated B) with 16 citations.
March 24—Pinoy Blonde (Rated B) with four citations.
Kutob with 10 citations.
Also scheduled for preview are the following films:
March 30—Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros (Rated A) with seven citations.
Bahay ni Lola with three citations.
March 31—Dubai (Rated B) with 11 citations.
Enteng Kabisote 2 with four citations.
April 5— Exodus (Rated B) with seven citations.
La Visa Loca (Rated A) with six citations.
April 6— Let the Love Begin (Rated B) with two citations.
Masahista with four citations.
April 7— Ispiritista with three citations.
