The groups of citers of the Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Awards’ system have already drawn up the semi-finalists and possible final nominees for 11 categories of film achievements last year.

The nominators will now trim down the semi-finalists into the final list of nominees before submitting the final decision to the Academy voters who will choose the winners in the 11 categories—the 12th category being for best picture.

The FAP has released the list of semi-finalists as follows:

Blue Moon of Good Harvest and Regal Entertainment Inc. (rated B by the Cinema Evaluation Board) garnered the most number of citations, garnering nine for performances alone. Nasaan Ka Man of Star Cinema Rated B) got 12, Dubai (Rated B) of Star Cinema with 11, Ako Legal Wife Rated B) of Regal Entertainment Inc. and Kutob of Canary Films with 10 each.

Other films with multi-citations are Mulawin the Movie of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment Inc. (Rated A) with seven citations; Exodus of Imus Productions and Reality Entertainment Inc. (Rated B), seven; Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros of Cinemalaya (Rated A), seven.

La Visa Loca of Unitel Pictures (Rated A), six; and four citations each for Birhen ng Manaoag of Cine Suerte; Pinoy Blonde of Unitel Pictures (Rated B), and Enteng Kabisote 2 of Octoarts Films.

The Luna awards night is tentatively scheduled on May 20, 2006.
