A shortlist of 15 films has been drawn up for preview by Film Academy of the Philippines citers as possible nominees for 12 categories of the 30th Luna Awards.
The films included:
–Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, directed by Marlon Rivera for Quantum Prod./Martinez-Rivera Films
–Forever and a Day, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina for Star Cinema
–Kingpin: Asiong Salonga Story, directed by Tikoy Aguiluz who later demanded his name be deleted from the film credits (produced by Scenema Concept/Viva Films)
–My Househusband…Ikaw Na!, directed by Jose Javier Reyes for OctoArts Films
–My Neighbor’s Wife, directed by Jun Lana for Regal Entertainment Inc.
–No Other Woman, directed by Ruel Bayani for Star Cinema
–Panday 2, directed by Mac Alejandre for Imus Productions/GMA Films
–Presa, directed by Adolf Alix for Astral Productions
–The Road, directed by Yam Laranas for GMA Films/OctoArts Films
–Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, directed by Alrin B. Yapan for Ignatius Films
–Segunda Mano, directed by Joyce Bernal for MJM Productions
–Senior Year, directed by Jerrold Tarog for Digital Studio
–Thelma, directed by Paul Soriano for Star Cinema
–Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, directed by Jun Lana for Studio 5
–Zombading, directed by Jade Castro for Origin8/Reality
The different guilds are now finalizing their list of 10 citers. The citers will choose their shortlist from which the nominators will pick the five finalists in each of the 11 categories.
In the citers and nominators stage, guild members will be choosing for their particular categories. Thus, directors will choose the possible director nominees, scriptwriters will choose the possible scriptwriter nominees, and so forth down the line.
After the nominator made their final list of nominees, the voters will be previewing the nominated finalists but they will vote in all categories at this final stage.
