As various local film award-giving bodies prepare for their reviews of possible nominees this year, it would be advisable to consider the local films rated A or B by the Cinema Evaluation Board of the Film Development Council of the Philippines for 2011.

The FAP website listed the 8 local films which were rated A last week. Here are the 23 local films rated B for 2011, listed chronologically based on their dates of exhibition in local cinemahouses.

Feb. 2—Bulong (Star Cinema) directed by Chito Rono and starring Vhong Navarro, Angelica Panganiban

Feb. 9—My Valentine Girl (Regal Films/GMA Films) directed by Chris Martinez, Andoy Ranay & Dominic Zapata, starring Richard Gutierrez, Rhian Ramos and Jillian Ward

Mar. 2—Who’s That Girl? (Viva Films) directed by Wenn Deramas and starring Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano

April 6—TUM: My Pledge of Love (Star Cinema) directed by Robin Padila and starring Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez

April 23—Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak! (Star Cinema, OctoArts Films, M-Zet Films & APT Entertainment) directed by Tony Reyes and starring Vic Sotto and Bear Alonzo

May 11—In the Name of Love (Star Cinema) directed by Olivia Lamasan and starring Aga Muhlach, Angel Locsin and Jake Cuenca

June 15—Forever and a Day (Star Cinema) directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and starring Sam Milby and KC Concepcion

July 6—Temptation Island (Regal Entertainment Inc. & GMA Films) directed by Chris Martinez and starring Marian Rivera, Rufa Mae Quinto, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heusaff and John Lapus
