Three parades and press conferences will be held in Baguio City, San Fernando (Pampanga) and Lucena City to jumpstart this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (Philippines) affair.

The presscon-parade schedules will take place on Thursday, Dec. 14 in the Pines City, on Friday, Dec. 15 in the Pampanga capital and on Wednesday, Dec. 20 in Lucena.

All press conferences which will be attended by national and local media people are scheduled at 12 noon. The venues are the SM branches in Baguio and San Fernando, and Princess Margaret in Lucena.

The parades or motorcades will be participated in by representatives from the nine film entries in this year’s filmfest. Stars of the films are expected to grace the occasion with their presence.

The biggest parade will be held in Metro Manila on December 24, a day before the official start of the 10-day filmfest.

All filmfest entries will be simultaneously shown in theaters nationwide, including the 28 branches of SM malls.

With the withdrawal of Short Time of Virgin Films, the nine official entries include the following:

— CM Films’ Ligalig, formerly titled Batang Maynila (action) starring Cesar Montano, Sunshine Cruz, Celia Rodriguez and Johnny Delgado and directed by Cesar Montano.

–Canary Films’ Matakot ka sa Karma, formerly titled Pagkagat ng Dilim (horror) starring Gretchen Barretto, Rica Peralejo, Angelika Panganiban and Derek Ramsey and directed By Joey Javier Reyes.

–OctoArts Films’ Enteng Kabisote 3 (fantasy/adventure) starring Vic Sotto and Kristine Hermosa and directed by Tony Reyes.

–Violett Films and MTL Films’ Tatlong Baraha (fantasy adventure) starring Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, Maynard Lapid, Monsour del Rosario, Bearwin Mewly, Phoemela Baranda, Jackie Rice and Girlie Sevilla and directed by Toto Natividad.

–ABS-CBN Films’ Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo (romantic comedy) starring Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo and directed by Joey Javier Reyes.

–Regal Entertainment Inc.’s Shake, Rattle & Roll 8 (horror) 13th Floor starring Keanna Reeves, Bearwin Meily, Roxanne Guinoo and Joseph Bitangkol/ Ang Yaya starring Shryl Cruz, Izza Calzado and TJ Trinidad/
LRT-2 starring IC Mendoza, Basty Alcanses and Segio Garcia and directed by Mike Tuvierra, Toppel Lee and Rhyan Carlos.

–Regal Entertainment Inc.’s Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di (drama) starring Lorna Tolentino, Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin, Gina Alajar and Joyce So and directed by Joel Lamangan.

–Regal Entertainment Inc.’s Zsa-Zsa Zaturnah (fantasy-adventure) starring Zsa Zsa Padilla, Pops Fernandez. Alfred Vargas and Rustom Padilla and directed by Joel Lamangan.

–MAQ Productions’s Super Noypi starring Mark Herras, Jennelyn Mercado John Pratts, Polo Ravales, Sandara Park and Katrina Halili and directed by Quark Henares.
