Paging the winners of the 1 st Film Academy of the Philippines screenplay/storyline contest. You can claim your prizes on or after Tuesday, December 1, 2005 , at the
FAP offices, Octoarts bldg., Panay Avenue , Quezon City (behind the National Book Store branch).
The three winners in the screenplay category and five winners in the storyline category will receive half of their prizes with the final half to be given during appropriate presentation of the winners during the 2006 FAP Awards night next year.
The winners are advised to bring ID cards, drivers’ licenses or visas in claiming their checks.
This was decided upon by the board of governors during a meeting last Thursday, November 24. The winners may claim their checks from Ms. Lea Bernardez or Ms. Anna Fajardo of the FAP secretariat.
The list of winners in the screenplay category is as follows:
Adolfo B. Alix Jr., ( Kuwento ni Indo ) , a scriptwriter who has collaborated in some of the films directed by Gil Portes.
Veronica B. Velasco ( Boy ) , based on a story of Unitel producer Antonio Gloria. Ms. Velasco is a line producer of Unitel Productions.
Marlon G. Miguel ( Sapi ) , an office secretary of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
The list of winners in the storyline category is as follows:
Lito Casaje ( Siling Labuyo sa Kabilugan ng Buwan ), president and artistic director of Dramatis Personae.
Jose Abelardo A. Tam ( Cinema Goa ), filmmaker, TV director and B.S. Creative Writing graduate of UP.
Emmanuel A. dela Cruz ( Sa Dibdib ng mga Alon ), another UP filmmaker.
Leoncio P. Deriada ( Mariit 3 ), professor of UP Iloilo .
James Edward Golla ( Palasyo ni Ivan ), BS Accounting graduate of PSBA.
