With voters now screening the films which garnered nominations in 12 official categories, the Film Academy of the Philippines has set July 10 as the final date of the 29th Luna Awards which will be held at the Quezon City Sports Center on E. Rodriguez avenue.
The Luna Awards voters—unlike the citers and nominators who only considered films in their areas of expertise—will be voting in all categories. Final voting will be held after the screening of the last nominated film in the afternoon of June 16, a Thursday.
The screening began last Tuesday, May 31 on a Tuesday-to-Friday basis with two films screened per day. Already reviewed were:
May 31 (Tue)—RPG Metanoia, nominated for sound (Connie Valdriz) and Sagrada Familia, for direction (Joel Lamangan)
June 1 (Wed)—Muli, for actor (Sid Lucero) and Two Funerals, for direction (Gil M. Portes) and screenplay (Enrique V. Ramos)
June 2 (Thu)—The Red Shoes (A Love Story), for sound (Nolet Clemente) and Tarima, for production design (Cyrus Khan), actor (Fanny Serrano) and supporting actress (Gloria Romero)
June 3 (Fri)—Emir, for direction (Chito Rono), screenplay (Jerry Gracio), cinematography (Neil Daza & Lee Meily), production design (Digo Ricio) and editing (Jerrold Tarog) and Rosario, for screenplay (Elmer Gatchalian), cinematography (Carlo Mendoza), production design (Joey Luna), music (Albert Chang), actress (Jennylyn Mercado) and supporting actor (Dolphy, Sid Lucero, Yul Servo and Dennis Trillo)
