JUST LIKE A HOLE IN ONE by Gabriel the Messenger  |  Posted in Articles  |  on Fri, Jan 28, 2011

We have just finished watching the movie You To Me are Everything wherein one of the “main characters” is a white pig named Snowy. Medyo weird talaga. Pero as a first time citer, GTM generally liked the movie. And has initially decided that it belongs to the top ten (10) because it was entertaining.

But due to some additional business he has to stay longer at the office of FAP (Film Academy of the Philippines).

Citer One: Biruin mo yan. Mayroon siyang one hundred million (P100,000,000.00) tapos ipinamigay lang niya ang sixty five million (pesos)?

One of the parts kasi showed a scene wherein Marian Rivera gave 20% each to her two sisters-in-law (which is assumed to be worth a total of forty million pesos) and she also gave twenty five million pesos (P25,000,000) to friend Dingdong Dantes who wants to start his own business. Note po ha. Own business. It is not even a partnership.

Baka one in a million.

Later on, a meeting about a movie venture was held and another citer who saw the same movie made a similar remark.

Paalala uli na first timer si GTM as a citer at malamang ay kulang pa sa tiwala sa sarili due to lack of experience. You To Me are Everything.

Pero as a serious student, GTM tried to do his homework. Inisa-isang inalala ni GTM (from memory and notes) ang mga movies na napanood niya. And using the copies of Filmographies of Films and the Citers Rating Form which was distributed at the office of FAP, he finally made a list of his top ten or top twelve. And here is GTM’s top four.

GTM gave a perfect ten (10) points for Emir. He feels that this is what they call in the commercial, “LEVEL UP”.

Pero after the results of the LUNA Awards for 2010, baka mag dalawang isip na sila.

Then GTM gave nine (9) points for three movies. I’ll Be There (Gabby, KC and Jericho).

Miss You Like Crazy (Bea & John). Ito ang priority noon ni GTM sa tatlo, pero after watching the movies again, ginawa na lang niyang second sa I’ll Be There. Because of the Gabby/KC combination.

You To Me are Everything (Marian & Dingdong). 4th place siya sa apat.

Pero as a horror movie, ito ang pinakamaganda for GTM. Outstanding!

And to show his sincerity sa pagpili sa mga movies na yan, GTM even bought original copies (P299.00/copy po). That’s when he also found out na never pala siyang makakabili talaga ng copy of the movie Emir as of now. Dahil talagang walang for sale sa market.

Pero due to the comments that GTM heard, medyo may doubt siya sa kanyang selection. Lalong-lalo na sa mga comments na tulad ng “one in a million or one in a billion”.

Luckily, one afternoon, when GTM went home early from work, his son Michael, who works at a call center, was watching an original copy of The Legend of Baggar Vance. At tamang-tama, there was a scene, where the hero made a “hole in one” in an invitational golf game. It was a turning point for the story of the movie. And that’s when GTM also decided to write an article about the selection of You To Me are Everything. One in a million? One in a billion? Hole in one? Pwede! Hindi ba?
