As a public service of the Film Academy, the FAP website continues to function as an e-magazine for the benefit of movie enthusiasts. Having been re-designed twice, FAPWEB has been in the internet since its inception in 2004.
Edited by Jose N. Carreon, the e-magazine has weekly articles mostly about movies and entertainment. All published articles are kept in the archive for public access.
The current crop of writers are led by Alex J. Socorro followed by newcomers Gabriel The Messenger and Mon Nepomuceno Orbeta. There’s also Tante De Ramos, the fapweb historian.
Static pages like the Celebrity Section and Movie Workers are continually updated for the new profiles.
From last year’s daily average of 4,000 hits, the FAP website is now getting 8,000 hits per day for the month of December.
The hits are expected to increase some more when the planned enhancements for 2011 are implemented.
