Calling all Citers of the Film Academy Awards. Please submit your complete list of cited films for the year 2004.

Of the 52 films shown in 2004, following are the contenders for the awards:

Shown in February, MILAN and KUYA earned a B rating from the CEB (Cinema Evaluation Board). Both films enjoyed a 50% rebate on amusement taxes.

In May, shown were ALL MY LIFE and I WILL SURVIVE. Like the films in February, I WILL SURVIVE, which starred Aga Muhlach and Kristine Hermosa, got a B rating.

Together with the Manila Film Festival in June, Nora Aunor’s NAGLALAYAG and Judy Ann Santos’ SABEL both earned a B rating. Not to be ignored are Robin Padilla’s KULIMLIM and SINGLES.

NOW THAT I HAVE YOU, released in August, also earned a B rating.

In September, FENG SHUI, Kris Aquino’s suspense-thriller, got a B rating.

November films MINSAN PA and SANTA SANTITA both earned good ratings from the CEB. Minsan Pa got a B rating while Angelica Panganiban’s Santa Santita got an A rating for a 100% tax rebate.

In December, Metro Manila Film Festival’s PANAGHOY SA SUBA earned an A rating. Also in the hunt for awards are AISHITE IMASU 1941, MANO PO 3 MY LOVE and SPIRIT OF THE GLASS, all earned a B rating. Another December movie that earned a B rating is PASIYAM.

Final citation is on January 26. To follow is the submission and deliberation of nominated films. For the final leg of the screening process, the voting of academy award winners will take place a couple of weeks before the awards night which is to be held in the first week of April, 2005.
