The eighth Most Gender-Sensitive Film award will be given to one of eight entries In this coming 2010 Metropolitan Manila Film Festival-Philippines.
The Quezon City Gender and Development Award was launched in 2003 under former mayor and now Speaker Feliciano Belmonte through the city’s Gender and Development Resource and Coordinating Office.
The award encourages the promotion of equality and empowerment between Filipino women and men in films as part of the efforts of the city government’s Gender Advocacy and Management (GEM) program.
The Q.C. government will give a special trophy and P300,000 to the winning film.
