The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines has scheduled a basic orientation seminar for four Fridays in June and July. Participation will be free of charge.
The seminar is LEAP IP (Learn…be Empowered…Adopt…and Profit from Intellectual Property).
The venue for the seminar is the IPO Building on 351 Sen. Gil Puyat avenue, Makati City. It will be supervised by the Documentation, Information and Technology Transfer Bureau.
The first seminar is scheduled for June 11 with patents as the main subject for discussion. The other dates and agenda for the three other schedules are as follows:
June 25—Utility Model and Design Patents
According to the IPO, the basic orientation seminar “aims to educate and train entrepreneurs, small- and medium-sized enterprises, inventors, artists and students on the basic intellectual property rights protection and assist them in the prosecution of their IP applications.”
Target participants are entrepreneurs, small- and medium-sized enterprises, inventors, artists and students and faculty.
