The Filipino Society of Cinematographers is holding a three-day seminar on digital filmmaking cinematography from May 31 to June 2 at the Janeth Resort in Matabungkay, Batangas.
FSC President Isagani F. Sioson said they expect fifteen-to-twenty students and 10 guild members to participate in the workshop. A student from Australia and a resource person from New York are scheduled to attend the seminar-workshop.
The workshop duration will cover a period of 3 days. Hands-on training and lectures will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The DFW (digital filmmaking workshop) will be broken down into four hours a day theoretical sessions and four hours a day practical sessions.
Interested students, who must a least be in first year in college, have until Friday, May 28 to submit their applications. They will be interviewed before being given their syllabus and handouts.
Each applicant must submit the following to the FSC office at the Film Academy of the Philippines, OctoArts building on Panay avenue, just behind the National Book Store:
a. Application letter
b. Bio-Data / Resume with 2×2 photo
c. Current Identification Card
d. Sample of Story concept—250-500 words for 10-20 minute short film (option for directing)
e. Auteur art photography—3 pcs. 8-R (option for cinematography)
