Filipino animators and short film makers are invited to participate in the 11th Annual ANIMADRID film festival which will be held on September 23 to October 1 in Pozuelo de Alarcon in Spain.
Deadline for submission of entries is tentatively set on June 30, 2010.
The Office of European Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs has requested the Film Academy of the Philippines to disseminate this invitation in a letter sent by Leslie J. Baja, DFA assistant secretary, to FAP director-general Leo G. Martinez.
ANIMADRID has three competitive sections: international short films; international short films made by animation schools; and international short shorts made by animation schools.
Filmmakers and producers can submit their entries as long as they own the rights for the films. They can submit as many films but each film must be accompanied by an entry form and sent to the filmfest secretariat on separate tapes or reels.
Because film entries will be screened in their original languages, the ANIMADRID secretariat requires the submission of Spanish or English translations of the films.
The films that would qualify will be screened exclusively in 35 mm film format or in Betacam SP video format.
Interested parties may submit their entry in DVD (zone 2) copy together with the completed entry form on or before June 30, 2010. Entries must be submitted to the following address:
ANIMADRID 2010/ESPACIO CULTURA MIRA
Patronato Municipal de Cultura
Camino de las Huertas, 42
28224 Pozuelo de Alarcon, Madrid, Spain
