Young filmmakers have until January 22 to submit their films for the 11th Ateneo Video Open, an annual nationwide film competition for collegiate-level students.
There are four categories: short narrative, music video, documentary and experimental.
The AVO is organized by the Loyola Film Circle, the Ateneo de Manila University’s premiere film organization.
The event aims to highlight the effective use of aesthetically pleasing films as media for social discourse.
Screenings of entries by a board of jurors comprised by personalities in the fields of film and art will be scheduled for the weekends of February and March with venues yet to be announced.
Winners will receive their cash pizes during an awards night.
