All is set for the SGP Movie-Making workshop which will run for three days—November 28 and 29 (Saturday and Sunday) and December 5 (Saturday). The whole-day sessions will be held at the Film Academy office at the OctoArts building on 108 Panay Ave., Quezon City.
The SGP announced the schedule of resource persons and instructors for the workshop:
Director William Mayo, president of the Philippine Motion Picture Directors’ Association/resource speaker for directing
Hernan Robles/ instructor for directing and Ted June Reyes/ instructor for cinematography
Director Jose N. Carreon, secretary of the Directors’ Guild of the Philippines, Inc./ resource speaker for scriptwriting
Dr. Isabel Sebullen/instructor for story-writing and Lani Tolentino/ instructor for scriptwriting
Director Rica Arevalo/resource speaker for Indie Film Production
The hands-on method of training will be intensive and comprehensive to afford the participants ample knowledge in movie production. The participants will be required to come up with a short movie which will be screened on the last day. Invited industry people will judge the merits of the movies.
Those who have signified to attend the workshop are the following: Ruel Enoya, Giselle Ordinario, John Roux, Lita Duguran, Mark Vita, Roselle Siojo, Eric Manalang, Ronald Pozon, Lani Rallos and Rene Durian.
