The Film Academy of the Philippines has announced the list of finalists in both screenplay and storyline categories in the first ever FAP screenplay/storyline contest after the board of judges has trimmed down the entries into the final lists.
Three major winners in the screenplay category will each receive a P200,000 award while five storylines will win P50,000 each.
Based on the final listing made by the board of judges, there is a total of 15 finalists for the screenplay category and 11 finalists in the storyline category.
The breakdown of finalists as decided by the five-man board of judges is as follows (listed alphabetically with the entry number in parenthesis):

The board of judges will be releasing its final decision on or before the publication of the next website dated July 22, 2005.
The name of the authors of the final entries are still kept in their sealed envelopes. The identities of the writers will only be known after the decision of the board has been finalized and handed down. The sealed envelopes will be opened by FAP Director General Leo G. Martinez and FAP Chairman Espiridion Laxa.
