The Screenwriters Guild of the Philippines has launched a search to honor individuals or groups who had helped advance film scriptwriting and encouraged scriptwriters to hone their craft.

Called the SGP Kalinangan Award, it will be bestowed on film industry people like producers, actors and actresses, as well as personalities from the private or business sector who had helped the cause of SGP, in particular, and local writers in general.

Nominations may be submitted through:

1. Email: screenwritersphils@yahoo.com
2. Personal submission to the FAP office at the ground floor of the OctoArts building on Panay avenue, behind the National Book Store branch on Quezon Avenue (look for Julie).

Nominations must be accompanied by a writeup about the nominee and the reasons or justifications on why the nominee deserves the SGP Kalinangan Award.
