Isagani Sioson was re-elected president of the Filipino Society of Cinematographers during the guild’s Christmas party cum elections last December 21 at the FAP office.

After a short open forum and a simple lunch, the nomination started and was immediately followed by the actual elections.

The new set of officers who will serve for two years are:

President – Isagani Sioson
Vice President – Arnold Alvaro
Secretary – Danny Nogales
Treasurer – Mel Dapilos
P.R.O.s – Roger Baruelo and Roger Estrada
Auditor – Ramon Marcelino

All positions were uncontested and unanimously voted except for the president which had 4 candidates.

Sioson had 18 votes, Jun Dalawis had 7, Sergio Lobo had 5 and Arnold Alvaro had 1 vote for a total of 31 voters. Sioson has been the FSC president for the last five years.

The new board is composed of: Val Dauz; Atoy De Vera; Romulo Araojo; Pablo Bautista; Ver Dauz; Claro Gonzales; Oscar Quirejero; Rey De Vera; Ike Orense;
Apolinar Cuenco; and Willie Anao.

Val Dauz chaired the Committee of Elections with the able assistance of Danny Nogales. Alex Socorro was the FAP representative as election observer.
