FAPOURRI SCRIPT-STORYLINE by Kiko Arroyo  |  Posted in Articles  |  on Wed, Dec 1, 2004

The FAP scriptwriting just ended. Many called but only few submitted – what we mean were the calls we received, mostly requesting for an extension. The twin contest had an original deadline of Oct. 30 but was extended to Nov. 30 in order to accommodate the provincial entries. All submissions will undergo the technical screening, i.e. entries violating the rules on the number of sequences, number of pages and other technical requirements, will be discarded. All valid entries will be raffled off to the 5 judges whose identities are still classified until now but the contest committee promised to divulge their names simultaneous with the announcement of winners. Each judge will make an evaluation and come up with a list of their choices – a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 entries to constitute the semi-final round. All semifinalists will be read and evaluated by all the judges to produce the final 10. A deliberation of sorts will decide the 3 winners from the 10 finalists. The same process will be applied to the storyline except that the storyline will have 5 winners.

We received numerous requests to publish the finalists or even the semi-finalists for the benefit of the writers. There’s no promise but FAPWEB will try to convince the judges to lend us the score sheets. Developments on the contest will be published in this website from time to time. You can also email for updates and inquiries. FAPWEB has a policy of replying to all emails.

FLASH!!! Due to numerous requests, THE FILM ACADEMY HAD EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR THE SCRIPT AND STORYLINE WRITING CONTEST TO JANUARY 15, 2005 . The contest rules and entry form will be back on this website soon.

An oversight by our website developer. The poll for the articles was not properly in place hence the tally in the Archive Page are not accurate. The article poll is intended to provide readers an easy way of voicing out their opinion, they can either vote for or vote against the article. FAPWEB will be monitoring the polls and take into consideration the eventual results.

With this Dec. 1 issue, the polls are now in good running condition.

More than 200 entries pa lang ang natatanggap namin sa Name the Statuette contest. As in any contest, we are following a procedure to make it fair and honest. By the way, hindi puwede ang direct email na entry, dapat gamitin ang submission form na nandito sa .
